Membership Plan Pricing Designer for Dental & Med Spa Practices

A profitable membership plan is priced from your costs, not copied from a competitor. Enter the services you will include, what they cost you to deliver, and how much members will actually use — MembershipDesigner returns a suggested monthly fee, the member's annual value at retail, break-even member count, and projected revenue. It works for dental hygiene plans and med spa banked-credit memberships.

Free, no sign-up, no upload. Everything runs in your browser. If you have been quoted $149–$600/mo for membership software before you have priced a single plan, start here first.

Dental presets loaded: preventive bundle (cleanings, exams, X-rays, fluoride) — the standard adult plan core.

Illustrative only — case-acceptance uplift: Published vendor case studies report member treatment acceptance of ≈86% vs ≈45% for non-members. That is vendor-reported, not a guarantee. The designer shows what that gap would be worth on your numbers so you can judge it yourself — it is never baked into the suggested fee.

How the suggested fee is calculated — the math, shown

Step 1 — Retail value. Sum (retail price × included visits) across every row. That is what a cash patient would pay out of pocket in a year.

Step 2 — Delivered cost. Multiply your cost per visit by visits and by expected utilization. A cleaning included twice a year at 70% utilization costs you 1.4 cleanings, not 2.

Step 3 — Fee that clears value and cost. The suggested monthly fee is set so the member's delivered value at expected utilization is approximately fee × (1 + perceived-value margin) over a year — members must feel they get clearly more than they pay — while also covering delivered cost + admin + your fixed program cost spread across a starter base of 100 members. The tool takes the higher of the value-based and cost-based fee, so a plan never prices below cost to look attractive.

Step 4 — Break-even. Break-even members = fixed monthly cost ÷ (monthly fee − monthly delivered cost per member − admin). Below that count the program subsidizes members; above it, the plan itself contributes margin before any treatment revenue.

Common questions

How much should a dental membership plan cost per month?

Most adult plans land at $36–$60/mo. Price from your delivered cost at realistic utilization (60–80%), not from retail value alone — a plan priced on 100% utilization assumptions loses money on your most loyal patients.

What is the banked-credit model for med spas?

The member's monthly payment banks as credit toward any service, often with a member discount (10–20%) on top. Unused credit keeps members subscribed; the discount drives higher-ticket add-ons like laser and injectables.

Do I need membership software to run a plan?

Not to price one. Software ($149–$600/mo from incumbents) helps with billing and tracking at scale. Design and validate the economics here first, for free, then decide if volume justifies a platform.
