Med Spa Membership Pricing: The Banked-Credit Model, Priced Right
Most med spa memberships charge $99–$500 per month, and the dominant structure is banked credit: the member's payment accumulates as credit usable toward any service, paired with a 10–20% member discount. A $149/mo member banks $1,788 a year — enough to anchor a monthly facial habit and still fund a higher-ticket laser or injectable treatment.
The designer on the home page loads med spa presets — monthly signature facial plus laser and Botox discount framing rows — when you tap the Med Spa toggle. Open the designer →
Typical structures that work
- Banked credit (most common): 100% of the monthly fee banks as credit. Nothing is "use it or lose it," which is why churn stays low.
- Service-included: one signature facial or peel per month included, credit model on everything else.
- Tiered: Essential $99–$149, Signature $199–$299, VIP $399–$500 — tiers differ mainly in discount depth (10% / 15% / 20%) and priority booking.
- Discount framing rows: laser and injectables are rarely "included" — members get the discount and pay with banked credit. Price those rows in the designer as discount framing, not free services.
Pricing guardrails
Your risk is not the facial — it is discount stacking. If a member pays with banked credit and takes 20% off a low-margin injectable, margin disappears. Model your cost per visit honestly in the designer, keep injectable discounts at the shallow end, and let credit expiry (commonly 12 months) be a stated term, not a surprise.
Why memberships beat packages
Prepaid packages end; memberships renew. A banked balance gives the client a reason to return monthly, and gives you predictable recurring revenue to staff against. Run the ROI calculator with your irregular-client count to size the opportunity.
